Duplicating a Cue

This guide explains how to duplicate an existing cue in the PV4 Portal.

  1. Log into the PV4 Portal and navigate to your current Show.

  2. In the left-hand navigation, select Cues.

  3. Navigate to the Cue Type that contains the cue you want to duplicate.

  4. In the cue list, click the cue you wish to duplicate to open its Cue Slide-Out Panel.

  5. In the Cue Slide-Out Panel, click the three dots (⋮) in the top‑right corner.

  6. Select Duplicate from the dropdown menu.

  7. In the duplication dialog, fill out the following fields:

    • Count

      • The number of duplicates you want to create.

      • Example: 3 creates three new cues.

    • Cue Number Interval

      • Determines how far apart the new cue numbers should be spaced.

      • Example:

        • If duplicating cue 2 with an interval of 1, the duplicate becomes cue 3.

        • If using an interval of 10, duplicating cue 2 creates a new cue 12.

    • Prefix (optional)

      • Adds text before the cue's name.

    • Suffix (optional)

      • Adds text after the cue's name.

  8. Press Duplicate to create the new cue(s).

  9. After duplication, review each newly created cue.

    • Important: If a duplicate is created using a cue number that already exists, the conflicting cue may be assigned a number of null, and you will need to edit that cue and assign it a valid number.

  10. Use the steps in Editing an Existing Cue to update the duplicated cues as needed.
