Getting Started

This page walks through everything needed to get PV4 running for your first show, in order. Each step links to the full guide — this page is the path through them, not a replacement for them.

1. Understand the system

Read Architecture Overview first. It's short, and it'll save you time troubleshooting later.

2. Check your requirements

• Hardware & OS Requirements — what your on-site machines need to run PV4.

• Network Connectivity Requirements — what your venue network needs to allow.

3. Set up your PV4 Portal account

• Users and Roles — add the people who'll need access, and decide what each of them can do.

4. Install the on-site applications

Install these in order — each one depends on the last being in place:

1. Content Manager — see its guides under Content Manager Application.

2. Orchestrator — see Orchestrator Installation.

3. Renderer — see Renderer Installation.

4. Controller — see Controller Installation.

5. Create your first show
