Shows

Shows are a top-level container for connecting between PV4 modules, representing a centralized environment that ensures consistency and simplifies management across multiple environments.

Within CONTENT, Shows subscribe to Content Folders within your instance's Content Library. This enables the use of the Content Manager Application for managed site distribution.

Within PLAY, Shows act as a collection of surfaces, templates, and cues tailored for a specific event or venue.

  • Access Shows from the left-hand navigation menu.

  • Use search and filters to locate shows by Name or Show ID.

Show codes commonly follow a year + organization + event. This isn't a system requirement, just a widely used convention worth adopting for consistency.

Show properties and slide-out

Clicking on a Show opens a detailed slide-out panel with the following properties:

Show Name

Editable title for easy identification.

Show Code

Short code for quick reference in other modules.

Show ID

System-generated unique identifier.

API Key

The API key that on-site applications use to authenticate against this show. Typically created ahead of time from the API Keys page and assigned here, rather than created inline.

Subscribed Content Folders

Establishes a connection between the Show and specific Content Library Folders for use with the Content Manager Application and within PLAY for programming.

Scripts

View and manage attached RADAR scripts for advanced data integration or management. Scripts are usually assigned after a show is created, not at creation time, since changing scripts mid-show is best avoided.

Script Secret

Secure token for script execution, generated automatically when the show is created.

Select Application Versions

Assigns the Orchestrator, Controller, Renderer, and Content Manager application versions this show uses.

Shows are not active by default — use the star icon (top right) to make a show active before on-site applications can load it.

Content Folders and Scripts are assigned from this main slide-out. Data Integrations are configured separately, on the show's own Data Integrations page.

Additional menu options can be found in the ellipsis menu in the top right of the slide-out, including:

Make Active/Inactive

Defines visibility of the Show in on-site applications.

Delete

Permanently removes the Show. Requires confirmation.

Undo Changes

Reverts unsaved edits.

Duplicate

Copies a show's Surfaces, Cue Types, Templates, and Cues into a new show or an existing one — either as fresh copies alongside what's already there, or overriding matching items in the destination. See Guide: Duplicating a Show for the steps.

Save

Commits changes made in the slide-out.

Close

Exits the Show slide-out panel.
