Creating a Template Variable

This guide explains how to create a Template Variable. Template Variables are created and set directly within the Template Editor — for variables set outside the Template, see Creating a Session Variable.

1. Open the Template and click Open Template Editor.

2. Click the Variables icon in the left-hand rail.

3. Click the + button at the top of the panel to add a new variable.

4. Click the new variable to expand it, and set the following fields:

   • Name

   • Label

   • Description

   • Default value

   • Type — String or Number

5. Press “Save”.
